BMIT Privacy Notice

Updated 8 October 2026

This notice applies to the BMIT Android app and the BMIT website at bmit.imfundospace.com. The website is managed by Ndzimu-unami Emmanuel Moyo. Contact BMIT at imfundospace@gmail.com about your personal information.

Browsing and device access

You do not need an account to browse the public qualifications catalogue or African Kalanga Library. The Android app displays the live website through your device’s supported browser. The app does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera or precise location.

Your browser sends information needed to request pages, such as your IP address, the requested page, connection details and browser information. BMIT’s hosting and security services process these requests to deliver and protect the website.

Messages and contributions

The Contact Us form asks for your name, email address, subject and message. Dictionary and cultural-resource improvement forms collect your suggested wording and explanation. Some forms offer optional contributor details or a reply email address. BMIT uses these details to respond to you and review your contribution.

Contact messages and relevant suggestions are sent to imfundospace@gmail.com. Some public improvement panels show proposed wording and reasons during community review. BMIT reviews changes before adding them to the published source material. Keep personal details out of wording intended for public review.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses session cookies to protect forms and voting cookies to reduce repeated votes. Security checks also use technical identifiers to limit repeated submissions. Accessibility preferences are stored in your browser so your reading settings persist.

The offline connection screen is stored on your device. Live page contents, submitted messages and login credentials are not stored in that offline cache. Your browser manages its own browsing data and sign-in sessions. Use the BMIT app’s site-settings shortcut or your browser settings to manage these records.

Service providers and linked resources

BMIT uses hosting, email and security providers to deliver pages, receive enquiries and protect the service. Pages also request web fonts from Google Fonts. Where you open an external video, Google Sheet, PDF service, WhatsApp link or the ImfundoSpace learner portal, the relevant provider’s privacy notice applies to that service.

Retention and deletion

BMIT retains contact emails and unpublished language suggestions for up to 12 months after review, then deletes them. Approved dictionary entries and other published resources remain in the library as educational content. Technical cookies, security records and provider records follow the settings and retention rules of their respective services.

Email imfundospace@gmail.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information you supplied to BMIT. Identify the message or contribution so BMIT is able to locate the relevant record. Publication records are reviewed separately where a contribution has become part of a public educational resource.

Changes to this notice

BMIT updates this notice when the app, website or information practices change. The latest notice is available on the website and through the app.
